Brighton & Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi requires his team to win the match against Ajax Amsterdam in the third match of the 2023/2024 Europa League at the American Express Community Stadium, Friday (27/10) at 02.00 WIB.
Brighton now sits at the bottom of Group B with 1 point and must get full points against Ajax if they want to maintain their hopes of qualifying from the Europa League group stage this season.
“It's important to win tomorrow, for the players. We have to try to win every game. "In the Europa League we have six matches and if we want to finish in first place we have to win," said De Zerbi, quoted from the club's official website, Wednesday.
"We have a positive mentality, we have to play by showing the quality of the players and the game that brought us to Europe," he added.
Brighton's mission to get three points in the match against Ajax seems to be wide open. The reason is, the Dutch giants are struggling this season because they haven't won in the last eight matches, five defeats and three draws.
The owner of four Champions League trophies is now in the Dutch League relegation zone, in 17th place in the standings with 5 points, the result of one win, two draws and four defeats.
